Farmhouse near Farrellton / House campaign nearly Farrellton

When I drive up the Gatineau Valley from Ottawa-Gatineau, I see plenty of lovely landscapes to admire. I like to slow down a little so that I can appreciate some of them. This painting is of a farmhouse off Highway 105 near Farrellton, Quebec. The fields around it change colour with the season as do the hills in the background. Oil painting on panel , 16 x 12 inches (40.5 x 30.5 cm).

The speeches of Governor and Provincial Minister of Infrastructure have wanted more explanatory: the Minister for Infrastructure described including the technical aspects of the construction of this road, he revealed the other sites involved in the commitment of the Provincial Government for road repair: In addition to stretch-Likasi Kolwezi, eight bridges will be rebuilt with a large bridge Lualaba River, roads leading to Kabondo-Dianda through Lubudi, twenty-five kilometers into the town of Kolwezi ... Apparently the roads to and within the District Lualaba are not on the agenda. The governor, meanwhile, stressed the need perceptions that occur at tollbooths. They are, among others, the source of funding work to be undertaken for the rehabilitation of roads. He condemned the greed of those who once filled their pockets with money collected at these toll booths, mainly Kasumbalesa. He discussed other topics of social interest before visiting the engineering works which are at the Rond Point Malou and ISTA (Institute of Applied Technology). Finally he cut the ribbon at Mwanga Secondary School where the repair business since June 2009 had just ended: Mwanga now shines a thousand lights to deserve its name of Our Lady of Light.

busy day visiting the Provincial Governor. The multi-colored flags which sported the entrance to the town of Kolwezi are they a sign of hope or triumph? The future seems to smile on this once-thriving mining town. But this is far from the cup and the lip!

Sunset on the bay / The setting of the sun on the Rideau River Bay

There's nothing more enjoyable than sitting on the dock and watching the sun as it slowly sets over the bay. The whole scene becomes animated as tree frogs and birds begin their nocturnal singing and the fishermen troll for a catch. The temperature begins to fall slightly and a light mist rises over the water. A loon calls out and the enchantment is complete. Oil painting on canvas board, 11 x 14 inches (28 x 35.5 cm).
