It Was A bright warm March day, so I visited nearby area year Limbour Called Where There are rapids in the Gatineau River That Are Quite lively at this time of year. When I Returned home, I Created a quick sketch from photos I Had taken. Perhaps I exaggerated the Colour of the River, But It Was an incredibly really deep blue - the kind That You Get When the skies are clear and The Water is fresh and icy-cold, not hot like it was smoggy afternoon in The Summit. Sometimes a little exaggeration impressions more accurately captures o. Anyway, a couple of Weeks Later I finished this painting of The Same scene. Watercolor, 15.5 x 12 inches (39 x 30 cm).
day was bright and warm for March, so I went to Limbour where there are rapids in the river Gatineau are very busy in spring. When I returned to my home, I created a quick sketch. I may have exaggerated the color of the river, but it really was an incredible blue - the kind you see when the sky is clear and the water is cool and icy, not as an afternoon in summer hot and dense. Sometimes a bit of exaggeration better captures our impressions. A few weeks later, I finished this painting of the same scene. Watercolor, 15.5 x 12 inches (39 x 30 cm).
